Join us at our official opening party on
Saturday, June 5th from 6 - 9 p.m.!
The Bing Arts Center is pleased to present our opening exhibit, "Upcycled: Transforming the Unused into the Inspirational" featuring the work of Mo Ringey and Abby Rieser.
Mo Ringey’s intriguing sculptural assemblages incorporate “smashed” tempered glass mosaics with domestic objects and appliances. “The objects I use all appear at my door unbidden, making my work fate-based.” The works harbor the secrets of past lives and serve as representations of fragments of memories.
Abby Rieser makes assemblages and found object sculpture. The sculptures are constructed from materials and found objects from the city landfill. Through the years she has worked with hard and soft, metal and textiles, sculptural forms and surface details. Her current work is an attempt to fuse these diverse materials and approaches together harmoniously.
